‘Spring Themed Four Corners Day’Tutors: NQ Members Venue: Owen Barns Room, Breckland Road, Costessey, NR5 0RW Time: 10.00 am – 4.00 pm Cost: £25 members. £32.50 non-members.
At our Four Corners Day you will have the opportunity to complete four spring themed projects under the guidance of former and current NQ Committee members. All material will be provided on the day. All you need to bring are your sewing machines and sewing kit. This workshop is suitable for all abilities.

Free Motion Quilting with Debra JarradVenue: Owen Barns Room, Breckland Road, Costessey, NR5 0RW Time: 10-00 am to 4.00 pm Cost: £40 members. £47.50 non-members Debra will work with you to create a sample piece of free motion quilting using a variety of different patterns. She will cover how to set up your machine including lowering the feed dogs, using a darning/ free motion foot, tension and stitch length techniques and starting/ finishing. Please remember to bring your sewing machine manual. |

Sashiko for Summer with Susan BriscoVenue: Owen Barns Room, Breckland Road, Costessey, NR5 0RW Time: 10-00 am to 4.00 pm Cost: £45 members. £52.50 non-members Susan will cover the same techniques for drawing and transferring the patterns. How to draw a corner fan. Mark and stitch a curve line pattern using a grid and circle template. How to transfer Kamon Crest design or other pictorial designs using Chaco paper(Japanese embroidery transfer paper) This workshop is suitable for all abilities.

Hobby Holdall Bag with Linda JonesVenue: Owen Barns Room, Breckland Road, Costessey, NR5 0RW Time: 10-00 am to 4.00 pm Costs: £35 members – £42.50 non-members
Linda will demonstrate the techniques used to create this bag. It has pockets on all four sides. The panels and pockets are quilted and bound. Prior to the workshop members will need to cut out all the pieces so as to make good progress on the day. This workshop is suitable for all abilities. |
